New Zealand is just one nights sleep on a plane from the US. Turangi is located in the very heart of the North Island, on the Central Plateau at the southern tip of Lake Taupo - NZs' largest lake.

The Tongariro National Park boasts NZ's largest ski-field Whakapapa only 35 minutes drive from Turangi. The park also offers wonderful tramping all year round. Kuratau, on the shores of Lake Taupo, is a 15 minute drive away, with beaches and boat access for swimming, fishing and water-skiing. A fabulous family spot during the summer.

The Taupo township is on the northern tip of the lake, only 45 minutes drive away. Home to the world class Wairakei Golf Course. Taupo also boasts bungee jumping, skydiving, and thermal activity, as well as fine-dining and shopping.
