Shona enthusiastically embraced the wet-on-wet technique when first introduced to it at the NZ Art Schools. After only a few lessons, and the encouragement from family and friends, decided to travel to Florida to train as a tutor, and now teaches at the Lower Hutt based NZ Art School, and is planning to also run regular classes in the Wairarapa from the beginning of 2006.

What Shona enjoys most about the technique is that it allows complete beginners to take home an amazing painting after only the 1st lesson, and then, using what they have learnt to move on and paint their own paintings using the same wet-on wet method as used by Monet and the Old Masters.
