Living in Eastbourne has given Jacky an endless supply of subjects for developing her love of maritime scenes.
Jacky paints watercolours in a style of impressionistic realism. This provides the opportunity of spontaneously capturing the transparent and exciting effects of atmospheric light.
As well as painting maritime scenes, she also enjoys painting buildings, street scenes and landscapes.
Jacky has produced three very successful calendars of paintings of New Zealand lighthouses, and held an exhibition of 40 originals from her calendars at the Museum of Wellington City and Sea. She is now selling prints of her lighthouse paintings throughout New Zealand.
